Introduction

Thank you for choosing YMB Wireless Internet services. When you get set up at your location the user receives a hard copy of the user guide in a leather bound binder. This electronic version is in the event you need a copy or loose the original. The following user guide illustrates how to navigate the administrative functionality of the service. We have utilized Print screens in an easy to understand format which allows the user to place the guide in front of their computer as they acquaint themselves with the steps to renew etc.

Occasionally your internet access may be interrupted. Most outages are caused by fluctuations in the electrical current or extremely heavy rain.

90 % of the time your service will be restored by simply unplugging the radio ( receiver ), the router and turning off your computer.

After waiting 60 seconds plug in the radio and the router and reboot your computer ( IN THAT ORDER ). It is critical that you use a good quality UPS (uninterrupted power supply) . The power supply should also be unplugged during this process to ensure all components are rebooted.

VERY IMPORTANT !!

YMB WIRELESS tries to maintain an inventory of 30 sets of equipment at all times so we can install within 2 – 5 business days. During peak times of the year our stock will deplete rapidly. It takes 3 weeks to receive new stock so applicants should anticipate their needs 3 weeks in advance to ensure quick installs. Once an applicant pays, the equipment is boxed and tagged for that specific client

Double Icon Set-Up

There are basically two types of users. Those who are directly connected to the radio receiver via an Ethernet cable plugged directly into their computer  and secondly clients who are using a wireless router.
The set up required to use a router is different than the set up for the direct line application. When you order your internet service from YMB Wireless your equipment is already registered for the direct line or wireless router when it arrives on the installation date.
From that point your personal computer is configured and the account activated at the time of installation.
The information below concerning double ICONS are only needed by those clients who have direct ether cable into their computer. Wireless router users see page 4.
Once a direct line user logs in you will need to reduce (not close) your log in screen and actually browse the internet from a second icon.
The installer will create the second icon for you but in case you need to do it yourself at a later date please follow this process.

  1. Right click on the Internet explorer ICON
  2. Press copy
  3. Move the mouse to another area of the screen and right click again, press paste.
Now you will see another ICON
  4. Right click and go down to rename change the name to “ YMB Browse “
To set your default page of your browser ( the page you first see when you get onto the internet.)
Go to “ tools “ , Internet options, default address ( put in the address you want ) and press save.
  5. Go back to your original Internet browser button, right Click and press “rename” and identify it as the log on button.

The Log On Process

As mentioned on the previous page there are basically two types of users. For clients using the wireless router please note the difference.

Most clients who choose to utilize a wireless router do so because they have multiple computers ( ie: Laptop, desk top etc., VOip device, subscribe to YMB ‘s future security monitoring service or just want the freedom to use the internet without cables.

When the installer arrives on site the radio is already configured to accept the router and the IP addresses of your devices are installed into the router. From this point on you will not see the YMB Wireless log on screen when using those devices. Instead you will go directly into the internet when you click your internet browser.

The first time you attempt to use a new device with your wireless router ( a device not previously recognized by your router) you will be directed to the YMB Wireless Internet log on screen and be prompted for your username and password. This will only happen the first time you use the device with the wireless router. The next time you will go directly into the internet when you click the internet browser.

You will however need to add the log in screen address to your favorites in order to access MY ACCOUNT information. This will allow you to change your passwords, verify package expiry times and dates also verify account usage. Log On address: http://10.0.66.2/24online/webpages/client.jsp

When your account expires the LOG ON screen will appear automatically in place of the internet.
If the LOG ON screen does not appear go to your favorites and click on the LOG ON Address.

Personal Profile Info

Additional to the log on functionality the YMB home page is the stepping stone to gain access to the functions of MY ACCOUNT,

RENEW ACCOUNT USING PAYMENT GATEWAY
and
BUY NEW PACKAGE USING PAYMENT GATEWAY

Each link requires you to use your username and password to access each of the 3 areas.

You do not need to be logged on to the internet to use these links.

On some packages with 48 hr durations the time to expiry may appear on the log in screen. ( As per the example above). Normally you would go to MY PROFILE for that information.

My Account Login

Let’s look at the three categories individually so you can get a feel for how to navigate the YMB Appliance ( client management tool) so you can find what you want quickly.

MY ACCOUNT gives you access to expiry dates, band width usage per your account, the ability to edit personal information including your password and other particulars.

On the MY ACCOUNT LOGIN page you will spot an opportunity to create an invoice for your self to send a payment . This functionality is designed for systems that do not have an encrypted Pay Pal Gateway payment module.

The YMB Wireless site provides the encrypted Pay Pal Payment Gateway for the highest level of user security and so the Invoice feature on the MY ACCOUNT has been disabled.

Accessing my account

Please change your password as quickly as possible .

Once having done so the temporary password you provided during registration does not work.

Should you forget your password the client management tool will email you your Password at the email address you supplied during the registration process, otherwise no physical person at YMB Wireless has access to the password.

Renewing your package

Before renewing your account there are several things of which users should be aware .
Any existing balance on your account will be added to the renewal package.
If your package has expired, users will still be able to renew their packages over the internet via our link as Pay Pal connection has a firewall exception which operates in a similar process as to connecting to 911 Service even when your cell phone has no time left on it.
In some cases when you attempt to renew an expired package it will take only seconds to connect to Pay Pal in other cases it will take minutes.

Please pay careful attention to select :

RENEW ACCOUNT USING PAYMENT GATEWAY
NOT
BUY NEW PACKAGE USING PAYMENT GATEWAY

Why ? Because when you select RENEW Account the drop down menu will show a selection of the CORRECT PACKAGE TYPE for your existing set up. For example if you are set up for a wireless router package only wireless router packages will appear in the drop down menu. This ensures you get the right package type when you renew.
If you subscribe to the YMB home monitoring security system ( not available till 2009 ) or want to obtain the most privacy by removing the wireless router and plugging an ether net cable directly into the computer from the radio receiver then you would select the
BUY NEW PACKAGE link. Any doubts? Email or call.
The following pages illustrate the process or renewing your expired package.

In this example the user has chosen a 48 hour package.

Review the details on YOUR selection and confirm selection.

The package you are buying and the total cost being billed to your card is on the top blue bar.

Follow the prompts to input your credit card info. If you prefer Pay Pal can retain the credit card info so you do not have to input all the information on subsequent renewals.

Review your payment and Pay Now to complete the transaction.

Buy New Package

The BUY A NEW PACKAGE Link is used for 2 specific situations

A: A current client would like to change their package TYPE from Basic to ROUTER or Monitor only ( when Home Security packages become available).

Or

B: When a new client wants to activate service on a radio receiver which is already activated. Example : YMB Wireless internet is already set up at your residence. You leave for the season and rent your house out for the summer. Your tenant would select the BUY A NEW PACKAGE link to activate internet access for their own purposes.

IMPORTANT

When buying a new package you will be asked for an email address. If you do not have one just use “your last name” @ ymb.com.
This is not a functioning email address but the system will allow you to continue the enrollment process. If you forget your password the system has no way to email you.

In some applications YMB office assistance is needed to configure any new devices.

Your tenants account is separate from your account and they have their own username and password.
If you are changing from a Router to a Basic ( non- wireless router) package then remove the router and purchase a BASIC package. If you want to go from a BASIC package to a ROUTER package then YMB will need to configure the device.

It is always best to send our office an email to confirm a TYPE change before buying the package.
As you complete the process you will notice that all the available packages appear in the drop down menu ( Both Basic, Router and any other new packages which have become available since the writing of this guide).
Once you have completed all fields and pressed the CONFIRM SELECTION button at the bottom of the page then the process repeats the steps starting from “ Page 12 “ to “ Page 15 “.
